WANA (Dec 03) – In a series of phone discussions with Russian Defense Minister Andrei Belousov, Iraqi Armed Forces Chief of Staff General Yaarallah, and Syrian Armed Forces Chief of Staff General Abdul Karim, Major General Mohammad Bagheri, Chief of Staff of Iran’s Armed Forces, emphasized that the assault by Takfiri terrorist groups in Syria is the first step in a dangerous scenario for the region.

During these conversations, General Bagheri addressed the latest developments regarding the terrorist attacks by Takfiri groups in Syria.

He also pointed out that the simultaneous timing of this attack with the fragile ceasefire between Israel and Lebanon indicates a coordinated American-Hebrew plot aimed at weakening Syria, its allies, and the broader Resistance Axis.

All parties agreed on the importance of firm support for the legitimate government of Syria. It was decided that necessary steps would be taken to assist the Syrian military.

At the conclusion of the discussions, General Bagheri and senior military officials from Russia, Iraq, and Syria called on Syria’s neighboring countries to take action to prevent the support of Takfiri terrorists.
